World Day for Safety and Health at Work

Happy World Day for Safety and Health at Work!

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to ravage many areas of the world, we at Leapcure wanted to observe World Day for Safety and Health at Work to highlight how preventing accidents and illness in the workplace can improve overall global health.

The ILO (International Labour Organization) founded World Day in 2003 to highlight the importance of preventing accidents and disease at work with the goal of raising awareness toward solutions that can make work safe and healthy for all.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic started, many workers were able to transition to working from home to be safe. However, in several sectors and essential industries, workers were required to continue their tasks in person, with safety precautions in place.

This celebration recognizes that workplace health and safety is influenced by the individual, government, and employer. Each of these stakeholders is responsible for maintaining workplace health and ensuring that laws, workplace environments and your workplace tasks match standards that continue to improve global health.

At Leapcure, we recognize the importance of raising awareness on global health and safety at work and will continue to explore how insights and advocacy can support increased research into workplace health and disease.
